Become a Member

Who is Eligible to Become a Member?

Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to men 18 years of age or older who are practical (that is, practicing) Catholics in union with the Holy See. This means that an applicant or member accepts the teaching authority of the Catholic Church on matters of faith and morals, aspires to live in accord with the precepts of the Catholic Church, and is in good standing in the Catholic Church. Application blanks are available from any member of the Knights of Columbus.

Attend an Initiation

Once you have applied and been accepted, you will be invited to attend an initiation ceremony. This is the most interesting part, but there’s not too much we can tell you. You just have to experience it! Taking the degree requires no preparation, but does require about 90 minutes, usually held on a Monday night once per quarter. Candidates will be asked to arrive 15 minutes early for some processing.

Ladies Auxiliary

The Ladies Auxiliary main function is to SUPPORT the men and the council. They do this primarily by providing help at events, cooking for events and providing monetary help to various charities. They also hold two fundraisers. Any wife of a Knights of Columbus member is welcome to join.
